Mullen track's John Hancock earns coach of the year award

Mullen's John Hancock was named boys track coach of the year by the National Federation of State High School Association Coaches Association. Hancock has coached the Mustangs to multiple state championships.

Dandy Andy. Columbine's Andy Lowry, right, was named winner of the American Football Coaches Association's "Power of Influence" award. Lowry was cited for lifetime contributions to his football team's staff, players and community, and is the first Coloradan chosen.

Heading East. Spencer Colter was named Denver East's football coach Friday. The Angels are excited about the chance to expand their athletic prowess, athletic director Lisa Porter said.
